    HTC EVO Shift 4G Shifted from Amazon, WiMAXed on 1/9

    HTC-Evo-Shift-4G-300x181.jpgLeaked photos and documents show that the HTC EVO Shift 4G is coming soon with a landscape QWERTY slider keyboard and 3.6-inch touchscreen.  The HTC EVO Shift 4G from Sprint is set to go on sale at Radio Shack on January 9th.

    The EVO Shift 4G showed up briefly at Amazon for pre-order with a price of 9.99, while Amazon is still showing compatible accessories.
    There was also a leaked Best Buy internal document and a RadioShack ad that showed a contract price at Best Buy of 9.99 for the HTC EVO Shift 4G.

    Speculated Specs of the HTC EVO Shift 4G:

    • Landscape QWERTY keyboard.
    • 3.6-inch touchscreen.
    • 800Mhz processor (same as T-mobile G2).
    • 800×480 touchscreen.
    • Wi-Fi.

    • HTC Sense UI.

    Cable players could ape AT&T’s shift to usage-based data pricing

    AT&T Mobility’s (NYSE:T) decision to move to usage-based pricing for mobile broadband has sparked a great deal of discussion and criticism around the wireless industry. It also could push smartphone owners (via WiFi) to stream more video and access more data over the wired, uncapped broadband networks of cable operators.
